Takeover explores the idea of humanity pushing natural resources to the limit, and being forced to create a new identity within a wasteland of their own creation.
When society as we know it has collapsed, how do we sustain and rebuild ourselves in the emptiness? In Takeover the subjects carve their new identites from the toughest parts of nature that have evaded ruin. Neither the subjects nor their environment are as vibrant as they were before; they are resilient.
Weathered materials and protective silhouettes draw from the remnants of a world stripped down to its most essential elements. Structured pieces and utilitarian details suggest armor, while exposed skin and unconventional layering create a sense of vulnerability beneath.
Takeover is ultimately the human instinct to rebuild.
